Free and open to the public, this festival was on the largest event footprint to date in the heart of Arlington Center.
3 locations, library book sale
The ACA presented more than 50 participants this year featured at three locations near Arlington Center (Town Hall at 730 Mass. Ave., Arlington Center for the Arts at 20 Academy St. and First Parish Unitarian Universalist at 630 Mass. Ave.).
The Robbins Library is the host for book and art sale in its community room and fourth-floor conference room.
Participating artists are presenting a range of mediums including painting, photography, fiber, ceramics, glass, fine jewelry, mixed media, printmaking and sculpture. ACA’s six studio artists will be opening their doors to provide a peek into their creative spaces on the fourth floor of the ACA facility.
In addition to visual arts, the day features ACA’s first Porchfest Stage on the steps of Town Hall, featuring four Arlington Porchfest acts. Poets from the Red Letter Poems project read from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Lyons Room, secons floor, at Town Hall.
The readers are Fred Marchant, Martha Collins, Lloyd Schwartz, Teresa Cader, Enzo Silon Surin and Steven Ratiner, town poet laureate.
Visitors will discover all of the creativity that lives right in their neighborhood, and meet artists from Arlington and beyond. With unique artwork at every price point, it’s a great opportunity to shop local and support the arts.
