Tweeted photo said to show AHS staffer draws police attention
UPDATED, Jan. 3: Arlington police and school officials are investigating after a photo said to show a high school staffer described as "racy" was posted on Twitter over the weekend, Channel 7 reported Tuesday, Jan. 2.
The photo was shared on an account affiliated with the school, the report said. The tweet was removed, and school officials temporarily suspended the account.
In an email to students, Principal Matthew Janger said the staff member did not post the picture and it is also not a real picture of the staffer. The report does not describe the photo further.
A report in WickedLocal identified the person depicted as Melissa Dlugolecki, the AHS athletics director, and the deleted twitter account as @GoPonders.
The principal called the post, which made the staffer target of sexual harassment, is a very serious matter for all.
Janger warned students that sharing the image is criminal and a violation of school rules.
Capt. Richard Flynn said police have launched an investigation to determine whether the Twitter account was hacked.
