UPDATED May 11: Construction for Phase 2 of the Whittemore Park Revitalization Project got underway Monday, April 25.

Over early summer, the path between Mystic Street and the Jefferson Cutter House will receive accessibility improvements, the existing side gardens will be removed and replaced by new gardens and pavers on stairs to the rear and side of the park will be reset.

The town has contracted with general contractor Bautista Masonry to address accessibility improvements to the path between Mystic Street and the Jefferson Cutter House.

The existing side gardens will be removed and replaced by new gardens, including a new granite retaining wall and wooden board fence along Mystic Street.

Additional improvements will be made to the stairs leading to Old Mystic Street and those leading to the Russell Common Parking Lot.

The project is anticipated to be complete in early July.

More information on all phases of the project can be found at arlingtonma.gov/whittemorepark.
