UPDATED July 12: The Arlington Redevelopment Board (ARB) met at 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2024, in person only (as usual), in the Arlington Community Center's main hall, 27 Maple St.

A decision was made not to make a decision; ARB members continued the hearing to just after Town Day. A sole public hearing took place -- yet another in-depth coversation regarding an application filed in April about a potential mixed-use building proposed to be built at 821 Mass. Ave. This site near Arlington High School has a vacant 1915-era house and a tree almost that old that both have eluded the wrecking ball so far. The agenda is here >> and a complete account is expected to be published later this week.

Here is a recent opinion piece by someone opposed to the uprooting of the decades-old tree on the property.

ARB meetings usually are not live-streamed; however, they often are recorded, then later put online, by local cable-television station ACMi.
