UPDATED Nov. 9: Arlington's annual Veterans Day march was held Saturday, Nov. 11. Town officials invited the community to pay tribute to Arlington's veterans and their families for their military service. That day, both the Robbins and Fox libraries were closed, and no other closures or trash pick-up changes wee planned, town spokeswoman Joan Roman said.
All veterans were invited to join the march from Walgreens, at 324 Mass. Ave., to the Arlington Fire headquarters, 411 Mass. Ave. Marchers are to step off at 10:30 a.m., followed by a ceremony after arriving to the headquarters at about 11 a.m.
Many officials were scheduled to speak at the ceremony, with a welcome for the town's new director of veterans services, Col. Philip McGovern and The Boston Skyline Chorus sang.
