"We will be giving Moderna boosters for anyone previously fully vaccinated with J&J, Pfizer or Moderna at least six months prior," Town Director of Health and Human Services Christine Bongiorno wrote later on Nov. 19 in response to a question from YourArlington. The response clarifies the earlier suggestion that the booster is only for those who had received the Moderna vaccine.

Dates beyond the three scheduled could be added.

Be sure to respond "yes" to the age or occupation screening questions when registering. Remember to wear a short sleeve shirt to your appointment, the vaccinator will need to reach your upper arm.

Parking is limited. Please enter through the Mass. Ave. entrance. For more, click here >>

Reminder: Indoor mask mandate in Arlington

At its Nov. 17 meeting, the town Board of Health reviewed local and county case counts and related data and voted to continue the indoor mask mandate issued in August requiring face coverings for all persons at all times when inside public spaces or private spaces open to the public.

This mandate applies to individuals aged two years and over except where an individual is unable to wear a face covering due to a medical condition or disability.

If a customer refuses to wear a mask or cloth face covering for non-medical reasons, a business may decline entry to the individual. Read the full mandate >>

Nov. 18 town/ACMi Covid update

Bongiorno provides a Covid-19 update to ACMi’s James Milan, including recent vaccination clinics for ages 5 to 11 and planned Moderna booster clinics for ages 18 and older who are six months past their second dose.

She also explains the Board of Health’s monitoring of cases and the continuation of the indoor mask mandate, plus recommendations for safe gathering this holiday season.
