The Arlington Select Board was the host for a public reception to officially introduce new Town Manager Sandy Pooler to local residents.
It was held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, in the Lyons’ Hearing Room at Arlington Town Hall. Light refreshments were served.
“Many residents are [already] familiar with Mr. Pooler through his excellent [previous] work as Arlington’s deputy town manager/finance director,” said Select Board Chair Len Diggins in a town news release.
“Now that his duties have been greatly expanded, we invite the public to stop by and welcome him to his new role.”
Pooler has worked for the town since 2016, serving first as deputy town manager, then as deputy town manager/finance director when the consolidated Arlington Finance Department was formed in 2018.
“Arlington is a wonderful community,” said Pooler in the town statement. “I look forward to engaging more with its citizens, committee and board members, businesses and town staff who make it such a desirable place to live, work and visit.”
Pooler’s first day as town manager was June 18, following a Town Hall reception for Adam Chapdelaine, the manager since 2012 who expects to begin a position in Boston in September. Go to the town website for more information.
