Little Known. Wicked Important: Carter vs. Devaney
The Governor’s Council chooses our state court judges. It provides advice and gives consent or not regarding gubernatorial appointments including judges, clerk-magistrates, members of the Parole Board, the Appellate Tax Board and others. The judges and others who are chosen by the Council make decisions every day that impact directly or indirectly everyone who lives in MA. Their decisions are based on their interpretation of the law, their values, prior experience, etc.
It is wicked important to have competent and insightful Council members. Unfortunately, the incumbent in our district has neither quality. This is what was written about her on LinkedIn. And, she continues to get re-elected. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/sad-decline-marilyn-m-petitto-devaney-district-3-governors-perry
By contrast, Nick Carter with 25 years as a trial attorney, was selected by the Best Lawyers in America Directory and was named a MA Super Lawyer by Boston Magazine. He has been endorsed by all Arlington selectmen, State Senator Cindy Friedman, Former Attorney Generals Martha Coakley and Scott Harshbarger, plus others.
He has my vote.
