Inside look at an up-and-coming, rebuilt AHS

AHS project logo

Time to open a virtual door and let the public in to the new high school. It won't be finished until 2024, but here's a progress report from the School Building Committee.

Preliminary sitework for rebuilding Arlington High School got underway just before the Covid-19 pandemic hit, in February 2020. Then late that year, residents saw steel rising for one one wing. That work, Phase 1, has been completed, and Phase 2 continues.

Below is a newsletter providing a number of looks inside the series of new buildings.

The Town of Arlington has been invited into the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) process for the renovation/construction of Arlington High School. Acceptance to the MSBA program does not guarantee state funding.  The MSBA approval process must be completed successfully for the state, via the MSBA, to provide significant financial assistance to the project. Local funding must also be assured through passage of a debt exclusion.
