Many falls are preventable. As a home-care provider, you are in a unique position to detect personal and environmental fall risk factors and mitigate them to reduce risk of falls.
Please join us for this interactive presentation and opportunity to have your questions answered by a physical therapist with over 20 years’ experience working with older adults.
During this presentation, which was developed by an interprofessional group from the Massachusetts Falls Prevention Coalition, you will learn about several fall risk factors and hazards in the home and strategies to lessen fall risk among your home care clients.
You will also learn a safe method to assist a client who has fallen to get into a chair if it safe to do so, and when you should call 911 instead.
