Discussion for later school start time held
UPDATED, Feb. 6: Members of the School Committee's community-relations subcommittee want to know what you think about the proposal to change the school-day start time to 8:30 a.m. for the Gibbs, Ottoson and Arlington High.
This change would take effect on the first day of school next September, if the district decides to make this change.
The public was invited to an open discussion to share its thoughts, questions and any concerns about this potential change at the subcommittee meeting set for 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, in the School Committee Room, Arlington High School. The time was first reported to be 8:30 a.m.
More public meetings about this issue are expected.
This news announcement was published Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, and updated to correct the time of the meeting.
